Anas’ real face finally unveiled

The mystery surrounding investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has deepened as alleged photos of his true identity circulate online.

Known for his unique undercover journalism, Anas has always concealed his face behind a signature mask, using extreme measures to expose corruption across various sectors.

However, following his recent legal victory against Kennedy Agyapong in the U.S., it is believed that Anas had to appear in person to support his case. This has fueled speculation that the viral images could indeed be of the man behind the mask.

Anas vs. Agyapong: A longstanding feud

Anas, through his investigative work with Tiger Eye PI, has uncovered corruption in politics, law enforcement, and sports. His 2018 exposé, Number 12, exposed bribery in Ghanaian football and led to the downfall of Kwesi Nyantakyi, the then-President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Kennedy Agyapong, a well-known businessman and politician, has been one of Anas’s fiercest critics, accusing him of blackmail and entrapment. Their feud intensified after the tragic murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale in 2019.

Suale, a key member of Tiger Eye PI, was gunned down months after Agyapong publicly displayed his image on television, urging people to “deal with him.” Although Agyapong has denied any involvement, his actions sparked widespread controversy.

The defamation case & legal victory

In a 2021 interview, Agyapong escalated his attacks, calling Anas a “criminal” and a “thief,” and even accused him of orchestrating Suale’s murder. Anas, in turn, sued Agyapong for defamation, arguing that the accusations not only tarnished his reputation but also put his life in danger.

While his case faced challenges in Ghana, the tables turned in the U.S. A jury in New Jersey found Agyapong guilty of defamation and awarded Anas $18 million in damages. This landmark ruling has reignited public discourse on press freedom, justice, and accountability.

Will Anas finally be unmasked?

With the alleged images making rounds, Ghanaians are left wondering—has the veil of secrecy finally been lifted, or is this just another attempt to expose the man who has dedicated his career to exposing others?

For now, Anas remains silent on the authenticity of the circulating photos, keeping the mystery alive.
