NPP’s National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha, has admitted that the party’s loss in the recent elections was shocking and painful, particularly in its strongholds.
“There are traditional seats we should never lose, but we lost them. It strikes to the core. The numbers speak loudly – voter apathy, economic challenges, and internal issues contributed to this defeat,” he said.
He urged party members to take a moment to reflect rather than rush for leadership positions.
“When you fall, you don’t just look at where you fell—you look at what made you fall. We need to fix the party first, because even if we bring angels to lead, without addressing the real issues, we will not perform well,” he advised.
While awaiting the official report on the party’s performance, Mustapha assured supporters that the NPP is committed to rebuilding and reclaiming lost grounds.
